Nadesch is a municipality in Mures County in the Transylvania region of Romania.
The commune is located about 20 km from the city of Sighisoara and about 40 km from the county capital Targu Mures. It was mentioned for the first time in 1301. The Transylvanian Saxons formed the largest population group there until after the Second World War. The highest mountain in the area reaches a height of about 660 m.
HOG is based in Nadesch. This is the Heimatortsgemeinschaft Nadesch e.V., which was also the first to do a lot for the preservation of the evangelical church. It also organizes the Nadesch Meeting, which takes place every 5 years.
Well-known personalities from Nadesch are, for example, the theologian Erich Roth and the doctor and later bishop Bartholomäus Bausner, as well as the poet Georg Friedrich Marienburg.
